Touloumakos et al (2023) provide yet more evidence against the idea of learning styles

I don’t mean to pile on. Plenty of people very reasonably assume, or have been directly told, that learning styles exist. It’s got a certain “truthiness” to it. But, the evidence is compelling that people don’t have a dominant learning style, and we should be looking elsewhere for ways to differentiate. This latest study by Touloumakos and colleagues (2023) adds yet another log onto the pile of evidence. Fun bonus: Table 1 lists a bunch of studies also showing no learning styles effect, and the study includes a Bayesian analysis, which is the topic of one of the funniest Quantitude podcasts, ever.
